Mail Art Collaboration Project

The Mail Art Collaboration Project came to fruition in response to loneliness and a desire to creatively connect during the times of COVID-19 while the country (and world) enforced stay-at-home orders. At the beginning of April 2020, I put out an open call, gauging interest in working together to create while practicing physical distancing. This project focuses on the collaboration between friends, artists, and creatives in efforts to stay connected and inspired through unprecedented and whacky times.

The Process

The project began with each mailing holding two cards, one blank and one with a few marks I made, allowing the participant to respond and also express their own creative and artistic process, listing materials and thoughts on notes along the way. The pieces were then mailed back to me where I completed each work. Please contact me about specific availability of pieces in the gallery!

This is an ongoing project, with no deadline. Due to popular response, and the nature of snail mail trickling in, I still have pieces I am working on and will continually add to the gallery. Keep checking back for the latest. If you’re interested in being a part of this project, feel free to reach out for more in depth details. I would love to connect!
